How the Council of Cádiz Transformed its Security Management and Service Delivery

The Council of Cádiz, which provides services to 44 municipalities through its Provincial Information Company, faced an evolving cyber threat landscape that outpaced its legacy firewall. The small ICT team needed better visibility, centralized management, ENS-compliant security, and SIEM integration to protect citizen and municipal services across the province.

They implemented Check Point’s Quantum Maestro Hyperscale Network Security and the Quantum Cyber Security Platform to consolidate management, enable active/active high availability, and deploy IPS, antivirus and WAF protections with SIEM integration. The result: simplified operations for a small team, reduced management time, protection of ~200 servers and 3,500 devices, 250+ attacks blocked in early 2023, and the ability to scale services securely without adding staff.
