Helvetia Secures Its VMware NSX Environment with Check Point

Helvetia, a Swiss insurer serving millions of customers, sought to move to a Software Defined Data Center and increase IT team efficiency without compromising security. The company needed to secure a VMware NSX virtualized environment, retain visibility across the architecture, and minimize manual work and retraining as it pursued greater automation.

Helvetia deployed Check Point vSEC for VMware NSX in a proof of concept, integrating hypervisor-level enforcement that protects east–west traffic, auto‑quarantines infected VMs, and uses NSX security tags for seamless policy automation. The rollout delivered high-quality threat prevention, role-based visibility, faster service deployment, and improved operational efficiency—marking a successful first step toward their SDDC strategy while maintaining or improving security.
