Grupo VR’s Confidential Information is Secure with Check Point Connectra

Grupo VR is a Brazilian employee‑benefits company founded in 1977 that serves 2.5 million workers through debit cards and operates 12 branches with more than 400 staff. Facing widespread branch locations, remote employees and third‑party suppliers, VR needed a safe, reliable and low‑complexity way to secure remote access while ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information.

Working with partner EZ Security, VR deployed Check Point Connectra — an SSL VPN gateway combining web‑based access, endpoint security and integrated intrusion prevention — via a simple, customizable portal and single‑admin management. The solution was cost‑effective, easy for nontechnical users, protected the internal infrastructure from worms and attacks (including threats like SQL injection), and met or exceeded VR’s security expectations, prompting consideration of further Check Point mobile solutions.
