East Coast Migrant Head Start Project Helps Secure Children’s Futures with Check Point

East Coast Migrant Head Start Project (ECMHSP) is a nonprofit that provides early childhood education across 37 centers in the Southeastern U.S., serving almost 2,500 students. As a federal Head Start program it needed to protect sensitive PII and comply with strict regulations while supporting hundreds of remote employees on diverse mobile devices; its small IT team was overwhelmed by phishing, malware and spam (85–90% of prior incidents) and needed to improve productivity.

ECMHSP deployed Check Point Quantum NGFW with SandBlast Network (IPS, VPN, URL filtering, Anti‑Bot/Anti‑Virus/Anti‑Spam), SandBlast/Harmony Mobile for mobile protection, and R80 Unified Security Management on a VM. The result: hundreds of malicious emails per week dropped to zero overnight, phishing and malware were blocked across all endpoints, remote app installs took under two minutes per device, and IT efficiency increased through unified visibility and proactive policy management across more than 50 firewalls.
