A Check Point Software Case Study
Dakota Internet Partners, a Tucson-based ISP serving over 5,000 customers across small businesses and enterprises, wanted to bundle managed security with its connectivity offerings. The company needed an all-in-one, easy-to-deploy security solution that minimized up-front IT investment, supported centralized remote management of dispersed appliances, and integrated seamlessly with existing back-office and provisioning systems.
Dakota piloted and then adopted Check Point’s Safe@Office appliances with SMP On-Demand (SaaS) management, integrating SMP with its billing and CRM via Check Point’s API. The solution enabled rapid, remotely managed service provisioning, branded weekly security reports, lower support costs and improved operational efficiency; Dakota now manages about 100 customers with expectations to scale to ~1,000, and reports strong support from Check Point.
