Control Southern, a 50+-year automation and Emerson Impact partner serving process industries across the Southeastern United States, faced escalating Gen V threats as its firewalls neared end-of-life. After migrating to Office 365 the company experienced a surge in phishing, multi-vector malware and ransomware attacks that outstripped its existing protections and revealed endpoint update failures, forcing frequent manual remediation.
Control Southern deployed the Check Point Infinity architecture—CloudGuard SaaS, CloudGuard IaaS, Next-Gen Security Gateways, SandBlast Network and Agent, and R80.20 management—replacing the legacy endpoint stack and unifying protection across network, endpoints and cloud. The rollout quickly detected infections in SharePoint/OneDrive and Office 365, blocked thousands of phishing emails, and recorded more than 1,100 incidents in the first three months, while delivering single-pane visibility, faster log monitoring, and simplified, proactive threat prevention.
