Birmingham Public Schools Secures Its Network and Learning Devices With a Unified Platform

Birmingham Public Schools, a K-12 district in Michigan with 7,500 students and 1,000 staff, needed to secure a one-to-one learning environment across 15 schools, two data centers, and a large server network while protecting student and staff data from growing cyber threats. The district also had to maintain strong security with limited budget and staffing, making simplicity and visibility essential. Check Point Software provided the cybersecurity platform used to address these challenges, including Quantum Spark firewalls and Quantum Titan management.

Check Point Software implemented Quantum Spark Pro Next Generation Firewalls in a high-availability setup across both data centers, along with IPS protection and unified management through Quantum Titan. This gave Birmingham Public Schools continuous threat protection, centralized policy control, and real-time visibility into network health. The district reported that the solution was intuitive and easy to use, and that Check Point simplified decision-making while helping protect students and systems more effectively with one platform.
