Case Study: ANSA achieves secure, anywhere, anytime remote access for journalists with Check Point Software’s Connectra and VPN-1 solutions

A Check Point Software Case Study

Preview of the ANSA Case Study

ANSA’s Information is Secure Thanks to Check Point

ANSA is Italy’s leading news agency, serving thousands of daily web users and a global network of bureaus. Facing growing intrusion attempts and the constant need for journalists to file stories quickly from anywhere, ANSA required secure, flexible and fast remote access that would work from laptops, public hotspots or borrowed computers under tight deadlines.

Using Check Point’s suite — including VPN-1 Power, VPN-1 SecureClient, VPN-1 SecuRemote, Connectra and SSL Network Extender — ANSA enabled SSL browser-based access and IPSec VPNs so reporters can securely reach internal file servers and non‑web applications from any Internet connection. The deployment extended application access to the field, improved reliability, performance and availability, and reduced operational risk and total cost of ownership, with plans to scale Connectra for even higher capacity.
