Reach delivers on its promise to empower businesses to stay local but sell globally

Reach is a payments platform that helps businesses stay local and sell globally, acting as Merchant of Record across 170 markets. To support its cross-border merchants, Reach needed to improve authorization performance, manage SCA/3DS complexity, and keep payment costs and friction low. It partnered with Checkout.com and used products including Intelligent Acceptance, Acquiring, and Network Tokens.

Checkout.com implemented Intelligent Acceptance to optimize routing, authentication flows, and token usage across Reach’s payment stack. The results included a 9.5% increase in authorization rate overall, a jump from 69.83% to 91.19% for one Australian merchant selling in the US, and $1.3 million saved from 3DS optimizations in Q4 2022. Reach also reported a 75% reduction in 20154 declines, plus measurable approval-rate gains of up to 17% for some payment message optimizations.
