KIRCHHOFF Automotive, a leading global automotive development partner, needed a more efficient way to monitor its worldwide IT infrastructure across 27 plants in 11 countries. The challenge was to centrally manage distributed monitoring sites while meeting large-scale enterprise requirements, including the TISAX security certification, after previous tools like Icinga and Nagios proved too cumbersome to operate.

Checkmk enabled centralized management of ten remote sites from headquarters, monitoring over 1,000 hosts and 35,000 services, while facilitating TISAX compliance with its secure architecture. The results included efficient alert workflows, minimal required support, and the ability for local teams to create custom dashboards, providing a scalable and unified view of their global IT environment.
