Albert Knoblinger Gesellschaft m.b.H. & Co. KG, an industrial company specializing in bulk materials handling systems, faced the challenge of monitoring its growing IT infrastructure without overburdening its small IT team. The solution implemented was the Checkmk Watchbox, a pre-configured hardware appliance running Checkmk software. This provided an easy entry into monitoring, allowing Knoblinger's team to independently oversee 1,500 services, including servers, databases, and web services. The results have been stable, failure-free operation with a manageable workload. The company is now planning to expand its use of Checkmk for predictive maintenance on its bulk handling machines at customer sites.
