A Checkly Case Study

The Chronosphere Telemetry Pipeline Team Spends Less Than 1% of Their Time Managing Checkly

Chronosphere, through its Telemetry Pipeline team, needed a way to gain better visibility into uptime and latency for its services and open-source documentation sites, while also reducing support tickets and improving response times. To solve this, they looked for an easy-to-implement, cost-effective synthetic monitoring solution with a Terraform provider, and chose Checkly.

Using Checkly’s Monitoring as Code workflow and Terraform provider, Chronosphere integrated monitoring into its existing GitOps/IaC processes, added maintenance windows, and hosted a status page to communicate incidents and downtime. The result was fewer support requests, issues addressed in as little as five minutes, and a team that spends less than 1% of its time managing Checkly, while also getting objective external latency and service metrics.
