B&C Camera, a long-standing photography retailer in Las Vegas led by Prince Beverly, needed a way to scale its growing camera rental business and give customers the ability to reserve gear online. They had been running a clunky, Mac-incompatible, custom spreadsheet system and struggled with manual check-ins, no-shows and customer communication, so they searched for an automated online booking solution and ultimately turned to Checkfront’s online booking platform.

Checkfront implemented an automated booking workflow (including customized wording changes and Twilio SMS reminders) so reservations update a central dashboard and trigger status-based emails—Ready for Pick-up, Active and Returned—reducing manual work and keeping customers informed. The Checkfront-driven automation freed staff for in-store service and community events, supported year-over-year rental growth, and helped B&C Camera earn industry recognition (Digital Imaging Reporter’s Dealer of the Year and Best Camera Store in Las Vegas in 2016).
