uandu GmbH, an online retailer for lifestyle products, faced the challenge of making their Halloween marketing campaign more efficient with the goal of increasing revenue without driving up their WhatsApp advertising costs. To address this, they turned to the vendor Chatarmin and its WhatsApp marketing service.
Chatarmin implemented a solution that leveraged the 24-hour conversation window on WhatsApp. They sent a follow-up message to contacts who did not purchase after the first message, but because both messages were sent within the 24-hour window, Meta costs were only charged once. This automated retargeting hack, integrated with Klaviyo and Shopify, generated €5,312.53 in revenue from a spend of just €974.39, achieving a 5.45x return on WhatsApp ad spend (ROWAS) for uandu GmbH.
