Case Study: Float delivers investor-ready recurring revenue metrics with ChartMogul

A ChartMogul Case Study

Preview of the Float Case Study

How Float fulfils investor needs with ChartMogul’s metrics

Float is an online cash‑management and forecasting tool (launched in 2010) that pulls data from accounting platforms like Xero, FreeAgent and QuickBooks to show future bank balances. Founder Colin Hewitt built Float after moving off spreadsheets, but recurring‑revenue tracking remained manual and inaccurate: Stripe alone didn’t report churn, active customers or LTV, so the team was using Evernote and missing key SaaS metrics.

Float connected ChartMogul with a one‑click Stripe integration to get automated MRR, churn, customer LTV, ARPA, multi‑currency reporting and cohort analysis. The switch was simple and immediately gave the management team and investors accurate, copy‑and‑pasteable graphs for board reporting, saved time, made churn improvements visible and improved data‑driven decision making.
