Rady Children’s Health unites 3 hospitals and 2 Level 1 trauma centers with The Chartis Group

The customer, Rady Children's Health, was formed from the merger of two freestanding children's hospitals, CHOC and RCHSD, which sought to transform pediatric care, research, and innovation. They partnered with the vendor, The Chartis Group, to build out their vision and develop the case for a meaningful union.

The Chartis Group helped co-create the solution by identifying key strengths and opportunities and designing illustrations of how the merger would improve access, outcomes, and health equity. This work was used to communicate the proposed merger’s impact to leaders, boards, the community, and regulators. As a result, the newly formed Rady Children’s Health became a premier pediatric healthcare system with three hospitals and a growing network of care centers spanning six counties, building on a combined legacy of over 70 years of clinical excellence.
