StubHub is a global fan-to-fan ticketing marketplace that helps people buy and sell event tickets. As the company scaled, it was overwhelmed by sales data and the IT team was too busy building product to give Marketing and business teams the regular data access they needed to make decisions.
StubHub implemented Chartio as a centralized, self-serve analytics platform with daily sales dashboards and more than 100 charts, allowing teams to set AdWords bids and budgets and explore data without IT. Analysis revealed that most revenue came from fewer than 100 top events, so StubHub refocused on those events — driving sales to more than triple in under a year (from €12M in 2012 to $38M in 2013).
