BetterCloud, a fast-growing remote-first software company with more than 330 employees across six locations, needed a better way to help employees understand its organization and support a semi-annual compensation planning process. Its legacy HR systems were built for back-office administration rather than employee or manager use, creating challenges around visibility, transparency, and access to people data.

BetterCloud implemented ChartHop, which integrated with ADP to centralize people data, power a visual org chart and employee directory, and support compensation planning with analytics and budget tracking. With ChartHop, employees could easily explore the org structure, managers could more effectively support compensation reviews and approvals, and BetterCloud achieved stronger transparency in pay equity—collecting demographic data from more than 90% of employees.
