Central Coast VNA & Hospice, a nonprofit community health clinic serving Monterey County’s vulnerable populations, faced an urgent need in early 2021 to replace an unscalable, paper‑based process and rapidly stand up large‑scale, touchless COVID‑19 vaccination operations with billing and CAIR reporting. They selected CharmHealth (using CharmEHR and its API, in partnership with Countermind’s Mobile Intelligence Clinic app) to deliver a mobile, cloud‑based end‑to‑end electronic health records and vaccine administration solution on a tight timeline and budget.

CharmHealth implemented an integrated “vaccine‑clinic‑in‑a‑box” solution—linking Countermind’s mobile registration and point‑of‑care app to CharmEHR’s inventory, one‑click claims, and CAIR reporting—going live in under two months. The deployment enabled Central Coast VNA & Hospice to vaccinate 26,600+ people over 12 months (peaking 7,000+/month), submit 4,500+ claims in peak months without added staff, report vaccinations to CAIR within 24 hours, and allow one nurse to vaccinate 15–25 patients/hour—saving hundreds of overhead hours and avoiding contract clawbacks thanks to CharmHealth’s delivery.
