City of Lynwood Looks to EV Charging for a Bright Future

The City of Lynwood, a working-class community in California, wanted to reduce local pollution, improve its image, and inspire civic pride, but had limited budget to make major changes. To address these challenges, the city turned to ChargePoint smart networked EV charging solutions through Southern California Edison’s Charge Ready program.

ChargePoint installed 8 public charging spots and 6 fleet charging spots for the City of Lynwood, helping position the city as an EV gateway and attract drivers to spend time and money locally. The project gave Lynwood a visible, forward-looking feature in front of City Hall, supported its new EV fleet, and leveraged ChargePoint’s broad network reach to maximize adoption and community impact.
