Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport - Customer Case Study

Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport, a growing regional airport near Santa Rosa, California, wanted to add EV charging as a modern amenity for travelers while supporting its broader sustainability goals. As passenger traffic and parking demand increased, the airport needed a solution that could fit a small airport’s limited power capacity and support long-term parking use. It chose ChargePoint charging solutions, including ENERGY STAR certified CT4000 stations, for its updated parking garage.

ChargePoint implemented networked EV charging with Power Management, enabling the airport to intelligently share electricity across multiple vehicles without requiring a large power upgrade. The ChargePoint dashboard also provided usage reporting, access and pricing controls, and grant reporting support. The result was 25 charging spots, nearly 8,008 kg of greenhouse gas emissions avoided, and almost $39,000 in hardware savings through grant funding.
