GrubTubs collects food waste from restaurants, hotels and hospitals and turns it into animal feed, but managing complex, usage-based billing across multiple locations, tubs, pickups and grease sales was consuming operational time—especially in 2020 when the team was wearing many hats. To streamline billing, GrubTubs turned to ChargeOver and its automated billing and payments platform to handle invoices, retainer overages, customer statements and secure payment processing.
ChargeOver implemented automated billings, follow-ups, reporting and branded invoices/statements, plus customization for customer emails and newsletters, enabling GrubTubs to track late invoices and reduce manual billing work. The result: ChargeOver saved the team “hours of time and resources,” improved the customer experience and freed staff to focus on operations and growth (including plans for biodiesel), while GrubTubs continues diverting food—5 tons of waste can feed 600 pigs, 4,000 chickens or 40 acres of plants.
