PRET, the UK food-to-go retailer, needed a scalable way to launch and grow its first-of-its-kind coffee subscription during COVID-19 while reducing churn and creating more personalized offers. It selected Chargebee Billing and Chargebee Retention, alongside payment processing, to support the new subscription model and improve the customer experience.
With Chargebee, PRET built a seamless subscription journey and a dynamic retention strategy that helped rescue customers about to cancel, personalize discounts, and handle payment issues more effectively. The results were strong: over 44% of cancellation-intent users were retained, subscribers spent 4x more than non-subscribers, and PRET saw a return to profitability in 2022 plus revenue growth of over 20% in the first half of 2023.
