How Europe-based Yousign Handled Hyper-growth During COVID, with Chargebee

Yousign is a Europe-based eSignature leader (founded 2013, ~3,600 customers) selling both a team-focused App and an embeddable eSignature API. As it moved to a subscription model, the company needed a billing platform that could support a hybrid pricing strategy (per-user for the App, tiered for the API), gate features by plan, enable trials and custom enterprise pricing, and handle complex EU requirements like VAT, multi-currency, localization and regulatory compliance.

Yousign selected Chargebee (integrated with Stripe and its sales stack) to automate billing, implement per-user and tiered plans, gate features via custom fields, and manage trials and offline payments. The platform also supported rapid European expansion. During COVID the solution helped Yousign double revenue and customers in under six months, and a new Notaries plan launched quickly and now drives about 10% of new MRR.
