Preview of the Copper and Brass Sales Case Study

How CBS used data From theirwebshop to address Abandoned shopping carts

Copper and Brass Sales, a division of thyssenkrupp Material Services, faced the challenge of low online conversion rates as visitors to their SAP Hybris-based webshop frequently abandoned their shopping carts without requesting a quote or completing a purchase. To address this, they partnered with the vendor Chapman Bright to develop a targeted program aimed at recovering these lost sales opportunities.

Chapman Bright implemented an abandoned cart program by sending data from the webshop to a custom object in Marketo. The solution sent automated email reminders to customers based on the specific status of their abandoned cart, which included the contents and value of the items left behind. This strategy had a significant and immediate impact, converting nearly 10% of the recipients into customers and successfully increasing sales through the online store.
