HVC, a waste and energy company owned by multiple municipalities and water authorities, faced the challenge of transitioning from a traditional waste collector to an organization that connects with inhabitants to build a more sustainable future. Their traditional communication methods were becoming less effective, so they selected their electricity branch to take the first steps in digital marketing and chose the Marketo platform to help them engage citizens with relevant information.

Chapman Bright implemented Marketo for HVC, training their staff and helping them expand its use beyond energy into city heating communications. With Chapman Bright's support, HVC successfully transitioned from basic communications to sophisticated marketing, deploying nurture programs, onboarding flows, and lifecycle emails. This new capability led them to hire a dedicated marketing automation specialist and opened discussions to roll out Marketo to their crucial waste management business unit, with the goal of developing an integrated mobile app to further connect with inhabitants.
