BAI Communications, a global communications infrastructure provider, needed a cost-effective way to retain and analyze more than a year of log data across its large, diverse wireless and transit networks. Its teams had been limited to only a few weeks of searchable history, but compliance, troubleshooting, and long-term performance analysis required far more retention without the high cost of expanding storage.

BAI Communications implemented ChaosSearch’s data lake platform on top of Amazon S3 and integrated it with Kibana and its existing monitoring and SIEM tools. ChaosSearch was deployed in less than a day and gave BAI searchable, long-term log analytics with no data movement or cluster management, helping the company store and query data at 0.1% of the cost of other leading stacks and achieve 99.9% cost savings over its legacy Elasticsearch setup.
