Austrian Airlines, a major carrier flying to 130 destinations, needed to deliver several high‑risk IT initiatives (including critical booking and check‑in systems) but its existing project management environment couldn't integrate resource management with project portfolio management. Management required a lifecycle tool that was intuitive, low‑maintenance and provided modern, graphical access so PMOs could manage projects and resources without introducing delays or risk to operations.

The airline selected Changepoint for Project Management and has begun rolling out project portfolio management, entering 113 projects and putting a PMO and 20 controllers on the platform. Early results include streamlined time‑tracking, improved resource management, easier budgeting (less reentry into SAP) and executive dashboards for portfolio health and capacity planning — giving Austrian Airlines better visibility and decision support as it prepares for a broader companywide rollout.
