W&T Offshore is an independent oil and gas producer with working interests across roughly 72 offshore fields in the Gulf of Mexico and onshore operations in Texas. Facing strict regulatory mandates for scheduled preventive maintenance on critical offshore assets, the company struggled with disparate legacy maintenance systems that hindered consistent equipment tracking, scheduling and uptime management.

W&T standardized on CHAMPS CMMS/EAM, migrating data (including from SAP), revising the master equipment list, and rolling out targeted training and user guides. Today 225 personnel across 32 sites use CHAMPS for work management and preventive maintenance, delivering better planning, fewer equipment failures, increased production uptime, cost reductions from on-time scheduled tasks, and a disciplined, auditable approach to regulatory compliance.
