System Maintains and Manages Solution Overview National Park Treasure at Yosemite

Delaware North Companies (DNC) Parks & Resorts manages lodging, dining and facilities at Yosemite National Park — a 1,200‑square‑mile site with more than 1,000 buildings, 250 miles of roads and 1,000 miles of trails serving four million annual visitors. A manual and then limited legacy maintenance system proved cumbersome and unable to track, report or proactively manage the park’s widely dispersed assets, spare parts and labor across remote locations.

DNC implemented CHAMPS CMMS/EAM, creating an asset and master equipment register, preventive maintenance schedules and integrated purchasing/inventory controls. The system supports over 7,000 PMs and generates more than 30,000 work orders annually, tracks a nearly $500K spare‑parts inventory, records labor and material costs for analysis, and produces year‑end reports used for budgeting — enabling proactive maintenance, better cost control and full compliance with National Park Service standards.
