Meyers, a Midwest-based printer of signage, labels and cards for major retail customers, partnered with C.H. Robinson in 2009 to find transportation efficiencies and cost savings. Facing labor‑intensive processes and the need to protect high‑value, retail‑bound product integrity, Meyers expanded beyond LTL and truckload into C.H. Robinson’s small parcel services (ground, express and international) and sought better reporting and operational workflows.
C.H. Robinson implemented a dedicated account manager, customized small‑parcel workflows, advanced reporting tools and pricing/assessment exercises to streamline address loading, negotiate better rates, and prevent surprise fees. The work reduced manual labor, improved billing accuracy and shipment visibility, lowered damage risk, and delivered direct cost savings to Meyers — with many of the tailored solutions becoming part of C.H. Robinson’s standard offering for other customers.
