Moba, through its Diamond Moba Americas facility in Farmington Hills, needed to improve light levels in its 100,000-square-foot manufacturing plant. CGE Energy was brought in based on a strong referral to help address the lighting and energy challenges.

CGE Energy upgraded more than 500 fixtures to energy-efficient LED lighting, replacing the existing linear fluorescent lamps with new LED strip fixtures in the same housings. The project reduced Moba’s energy use by 82%, made the facility cash flow positive from day one, and delivered average monthly energy and maintenance savings of $2,841, with projected 10-year savings of $341,000.
