Avis Ford, a nationally ranked automotive dealership in Southfield, Michigan, wanted to improve its parking lot and exterior lighting with a more energy-efficient solution. The dealership partnered with CGE Energy to upgrade its lighting system and better support its community-focused, customer-friendly business.

CGE Energy optimized the lighting layout and replaced Avis Ford’s metal halide pole fixtures with Cree® OSQ™ Series Area luminaires and wall-mounted fixtures with Cree® XSPW™ LED Wall Mount luminaires, supported by multi-level dimming controls and the CGE Protect lighting maintenance program. As a result, Avis Ford achieved a 90% reduction in lighting energy consumption, average monthly energy and maintenance savings of $3,682, and projected 10-year energy cost savings of $441,875.
