American Concrete Institute - Customer Case Study

American Concrete Institute (ACI), the leading authority on concrete, wanted to reduce the environmental footprint of its Farmington Hills, Michigan headquarters while also demonstrating sustainability leadership. ACI partnered with CGE Energy and its CGE Sustain program to find a comprehensive energy solution for the organization.

CGE Energy upgraded ACI’s interior and exterior lighting to LED, installed 90 kW of rooftop solar panels, and added a 50 kW combined heat and power (CHP) natural gas generator. The project required $0 upfront investment and is projected to deliver $160,340 in increased profitability over 20 years, alongside 15 million kWh of energy saved, 24 million lbs of CO2 removed, and the equivalent of 13 thousand trees planted.
