A Cforia Software Case Study
Bally Technologies, founded in 1932, is a global gaming company that designs, manufactures and operates gaming devices and related systems. By 2005 the company was in a weak financial position after restating prior results and receiving an adverse internal‑controls letter that highlighted accounts receivable problems; cash flow was negative and operationally they were manually tracking tens of thousands of slot‑machine revenue reports, which led to lost paperwork and unbilled receivables.
Bally implemented Cforia’s AR automation integrated in real time with its customized MAPICS ERP to convert monthly gross‑receipt reports into invoices, automate follow‑up, and support complex revenue models (sales, leases, revenue sharing). The system improved invoice accuracy and collections, provided executive metrics and risk trending, and helped turn cash flow from -$0.58 per share in 2005 to +$3.08 in 2010 while reducing long‑term debt from 64.4% to 18.3% of capitalization.
