DC Electronics, a San Jose–based custom cable manufacturer founded in 1979, faced the classic high-mix, low-volume challenge of compressed lead times, thousands of SKUs, and the need to mature production and quality systems after a customer-driven quality push in 2009. To address this, DC Electronics selected Cetec ERP and its inventory and production control software to bring automated, database-driven management to their processes.

Cetec ERP implemented a total solution including inventory and production control, Quality Assurance, Labeling, and Sales systems, plus mobile data entry on iPads and real-time dashboards on the shop floor. The system automated label printing, improved inventory tracking and production scheduling, surfaced bottlenecks by tracking shop-floor capacity, and gave sales and warehouse staff live visibility into orders—helping DC Electronics increase throughput, handle growth, and realize higher sales, increased revenues, improved efficiency and better profit margins under Cetec ERP’s ongoing support.
