Certero worked with a large university in EMEA that manages a highly complex IT estate across more than 25,000 end-user devices, 5,100 servers, 3,000 virtual machines, and multiple cloud platforms. The university was struggling with over $20 million in annual software spend, 24,000 software purchases each year, poor visibility into licensing and assets, and outdated CMDB and spreadsheet data that made reporting and governance difficult.

To address these issues, Certero delivered a proof of concept and was selected to implement Certero for Enterprise SAM, Certero for Cloud, and Certero for SAP Application as a unified IT asset management platform. Certero enabled centralized software and asset intelligence, reliable inventory and effective license position data, and flexible dashboards and reports, helping the university improve visibility, support its cloud-first strategy, and make faster, evidence-based decisions across the organization.
