Global Insurance Provider, one of America’s largest publicly traded insurers with more than 9,000 employees across 600+ locations, faced a lack of a single source of truth for its IT estate—struggling to reconcile Active Directory, SCCM and anti‑virus data ahead of a multi‑million dollar Microsoft renewal and a major migration. To gain accurate inventory and licensing visibility, the insurer selected Certero and its Software Asset Management and discovery capabilities (agent‑based and agentless auditing) to provide a centralized view across 10,000 desktops and 5,000 servers.

Certero’s platform was rolled out to IT management and a broad group of consumers across the business, enabling precise targeting and planning for the Windows 10 migration and related application rollouts. The insurer has refreshed over 4,000 desktops, identified an additional 2,000 machines running Windows 10 without Office 2016, and uncovered more than $5M in license optimization opportunities, with Certero set to support future hardware lifecycle, software EOL planning and Ivanti integration.
