Prince Court Medical Centre improves response times, clinical workflow after upgrading system to highest code level in southeast Asia

Prince Court Medical Centre, a 277‑bed private hospital in Kuala Lumpur, faced slowing electronic health record (EHR) performance from an aging 2007 Cerner code that made workflows “tired” and inefficient. In September 2016, after an eight‑month implementation, the hospital upgraded to Cerner’s Managed Technology Offering and the 2015.01 Millennium code—the highest Cerner code level in Southeast Asia at that time.

The upgrade and addition of Cerner’s CareCompass improved system speed and clinical workflow dramatically: average transaction response times fell to under 0.25 seconds with 99.6% of transactions under two seconds (about a 75% improvement), ranking Prince Court among Cerner’s top three clients globally for performance. Nurses and physicians reported fewer clicks, faster access to records and orders, easier documentation, and overall greater efficiency, positioning the hospital to build a clinical roadmap for further functionality improvements.
