EPCC - Customer Case Study

EPCC, the supercomputing center at the University of Edinburgh, is focused on accelerating the use of advanced computing across industry, academia, and commerce. To support its mission of making Scotland a “Data Capital of Europe” and advancing genomics and public health research, EPCC partnered with Cerebras and began using a Cerebras CS-1 system for NLP and deep learning workloads.

With the Cerebras CS-1, EPCC can test many more ideas and accelerate research across genomics and public health, including time-sensitive work such as AI-driven COVID-19 therapeutic research. Cerebras enabled EPCC to pursue national-scale breakthroughs in data science and dramatically speed up experimentation, helping expand the impact of its research initiatives.
