Brava Energia builds a 126-mile offshore wireless link with Ceragon

Brava Energia, a leading energy producer in Brazil, faced the significant challenge of connecting its offshore production assets located over 120 miles from the coast. Fiber was not an option, and satellite alternatives failed to meet their stringent requirements for low latency, reliability, and guaranteed bandwidth. To solve this, Brava turned to vendor Ceragon for a wireless solution.

Ceragon deployed its IP-20N platform with RFU-D HP radios to create the world's longest offshore wireless link at 126 miles. This solution provided Brava with a secure, high-capacity connection featuring 99.99% availability and 500 Mbps capacity. The results included replacing unreliable satellite service, enabling real-time communications, strengthening operational safety, and establishing a foundation for future digital initiatives.
