OtterTail Power Company, an energy and utilities provider, needed to upgrade and expand its Oracle E-Business Suite environment to support continued growth, broader billing, tax, and reporting needs, and a more scalable foundation for mission-critical operations. The company partnered with Centroid, using Oracle EBS and ERP services, to reduce risk, keep costs under control, and meet a tight 16-week timeline.
Centroid implemented an Oracle EBS upgrade to version 12.1.3, covering core modules, more than 10 third-party integrations, and retrofitting/testing of RICE components and manual processes. The project was completed successfully, improving scalability and performance, avoiding a reimplementation or data migration, and delivering added functionality, reduced future upgrade disruption, and better return on investment for OtterTail Power Company.
