Toyota powers 5% of plant energy with solar using Centrica Business Solutions

The customer, Toyota, sought a greener energy solution for its Burnaston production plant, the first European Model Sustainable Plant. They engaged vendor Centrica Business Solutions to create a turnkey project for a large-scale solar PV installation to help power the facility.

Centrica Business Solutions developed and installed the UK's largest factory-connected solar PV system. The project was completed in just four months and included 17,000 PV modules. The solution now generates 5% of the plant's total energy consumption, helping Toyota cut costs and reduce its carbon footprint.
