Smart Architectural Aluminium secures 2.7GWh of solar power yearly with Centrica Business Solutions

Smart Architectural Aluminium, a UK-based architectural aluminium manufacturer, sought to meet its decarbonisation ambitions and reduce operational emissions without significant capital expenditure. They partnered with Centrica Business Solutions to implement a solar power solution through a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).

Centrica Business Solutions financed, installed, and will maintain a 2.94MW rooftop solar array comprising over 7,000 panels. This solution provides Smart Architectural Aluminium with 2.7GWh of green energy annually for 25 years, covering 20% of the site's energy needs. The project reduces the customer's operational CO2 emissions by 588 tonnes per year and offers long-term price certainty for a portion of their energy costs.
