Rochestown Park Hotel saves €115,000 annually with Centrica Business Solutions

The Rochestown Park Hotel, a hotel in Cork with extensive facilities, faced significantly increased energy requirements following a major expansion. To address this challenge, they consulted Centrica Business Solutions to review and implement a Combined Heat and Power (CHP) system.

Centrica Business Solutions, in partnership with Temp Technology, installed a natural gas trigeneration system. This solution allowed the hotel to generate its own electricity and heat on-site, with the added benefit of providing cooling. The project resulted in estimated annual energy cost savings of €115,000 and a payback on investment within two years. It also reduced the hotel's carbon emissions by 278 tonnes annually while ensuring a constant, reliable power supply.
