Wine Warehouse, a nationally recognised wine storage and transportation provider, needed a reliable permanent standby power solution to keep its climate-controlled inventory protected 24/7. To replace a portable backup unit, the company turned to Centrica Business Solutions for a generator-based power system that could support sensitive operations while meeting local noise restrictions near wetlands.

Centrica Business Solutions delivered and commissioned a 400 kW diesel, three-phase Rudox Power Generation standby generator in a fully sound-attenuated enclosure, connected through an ASCO 2500-amp service entrance rated transfer switch. The solution was installed within six months and now keeps the warehouse fully operational around the clock, with measured noise at 73 dB(A) at 23 feet and fuel consumption of 25.8 gallons per hour, while also helping the customer lower product-loss risk and secure an insurance premium deduction.
