Moog Inc. installs 1MW solar array with Centrica Business Solutions to cut 175 tonnes of CO2 a year

Moog Inc., an aerospace defense manufacturer, sought to decarbonize its operations and achieve its net zero goals for its Wolverhampton manufacturing site. They partnered with Centrica Business Solutions to implement a solar power solution without upfront capital expenditure.

Centrica Business Solutions financed and installed a 1MW solar array comprising 2,200 panels on the facility's roof. Through a long-term power purchase agreement, this solution provides Moog with 800 MWh of renewable energy annually, covering approximately 10% of the site's electricity needs. The project delivers price certainty, reduces operational CO2 emissions by 175 tonnes per year, and is a key part of the customer's global carbon reduction strategy.
