London Borough of Southwark reduces CO2 by 337 tonnes annually with Centrica Business Solutions

The London Borough of Southwark faced the challenge of finding a cost-effective way to install a large-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) system within its tight urban conurbation. Centrica Business Solutions was engaged to design and implement a solution tailored to the unique constraints of the borough's available building space.

Centrica Business Solutions worked with partners to install an optimised solar PV array on the roof of a waste management facility. The solution utilized a specialized mounting system to protect the building's integrity and an advanced inverter system to maximize energy harvest from the complex roof. This project, implemented by Centrica Business Solutions, successfully reduces the borough's carbon emissions by 337 tonnes of CO2 annually.
