Leading Hospital, a regional healthcare provider, needed a more reliable and energy-efficient system to support round-the-clock patient care, reduce costs, and meet NHS carbon reduction targets. Centrica Business Solutions assessed energy use across the site and identified outdated equipment, including the hospital’s gas turbine-powered hot water unit, as a key area for improvement.

Centrica Business Solutions implemented an ultra-efficient ENER-G CHP system, capturing waste heat to provide low-cost heating and hot water while improving supply security and monitoring. The upgrade increased output by 500kWe, improved patient comfort, and helped the hospital save more than £200,000 a year, while also lowering energy consumption and emissions.
