The Hungarian hospital needed a reliable renewable energy source to heat its many buildings while improving the safety and resilience of its energy supply. It worked with **Centrica Business Solutions** to install a biomass heating plant using a 950 kW biomass-fired boiler powered by local waste wood chips.

**Centrica Business Solutions** implemented a biomass-fired boiler system designed to operate year-round, providing heat in winter and hot water in summer. The solution produces around 20,000 GJ of thermal energy annually, uses about 2,000 tonnes of biomass feedstock, and reduces greenhouse gas emissions by roughly 700 tonnes each year, while also delivering lower-cost energy.
